Matt Bear founded Bear Real Estate Advisors in 2018 to serve sponsors, operators, and institutional investors seeking disciplined capital markets execution and long-term partnership alignment. The firm was built on a simple principle: business is not transactional — it is relational.

Matt advises on complex real estate transactions nationwide, structuring equity and representing buyers while securing strategic capital across multifamily, industrial (including cold storage and IOS), retail, hospitality, life sciences, and specialty platforms throughout the United States.

Prior to founding Bear Real Estate Advisors, Matt was a founding partner of Venture Development Group, where he led a multidisciplinary team of 18 professionals across three regional offices. He directed the firm’s investment strategy, overseeing acquisitions, leasing, capital structuring, and dispositions.

With more than 35 years of experience spanning principal investing, development, and advisory, Matt has cultivated enduring relationships across private equity firms, family offices, institutional allocators, and entrepreneurial operators. His approach combines institutional rigor with founder-level commitment, driving thoughtful capital alignment and long-term value creation.

Based in Las Vegas with a national reach, Matt continues to grow Bear Real Estate Advisors as a capital markets platform connecting people, capital, and property at scale.

Outside of work, Matt is an avid reader, thoughtful writer, and passionate student of music. He and his wife, Kelly, have been married for more than 30 years and are the proud parents of two accomplished daughters.
